| In Memory of Maxwell Smart There wasn't a better dog on earth than Maxwell Smart, and he is a prime example of why breed bans are so stupid. Max was surrendered to the shelter because he had demodectic mange, which after some TLC, he recovered from. When it was time to get him neutered, it was discovered he had a heart murmur. After further testing, we found out Max was in heart failure and had a significantly enlarged heart. We knew his time was short and decided to make him as comfortable as possible using medication. We also wanted to make sure he had the best life possible and made him an official member of our family. Max passed away on Saturday morning, January 26th, a bit shy of his 2nd birthday. He was playing outside in the snow with Lancer, which he loved to do. He must have had a heart attack. Max loved every human, dog, and cat that he met and will always have a special place in our hearts. |
